QCI Engages Thousands of School Students to “Make Quality a Habit”90 School Students Across the Nation Emerge Winners
New Delhi : NBQP (National Board for Quality Promotion), a constituent board of Quality Council of India (QCI), an autonomous body set up by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, takes pride in building quality-driven future generations by conducting an online ‘Quality Summer Fun Camp’, themed ‘Let’s make quality a habit’. The digital camp was aimed to promote the concept of Quality among the children through Quality Quiz, Short-Video Making, Essays, and Drawing Competitions.
The Camp witnessed the participation of more than 4,700 students, spanning from different government and private schools belonging to 17 states including West Bengal, Orissa, Punjab, and Delhi among others. The competition was designed for students from Kindergarten to Ninth grade. Out of the thousands, 90 students won the different competitions: 20 from Quality Quiz; 30 from Drawing Competition; 20 from Short-Video Making, and 20 from Essay Writing Competition. The winners were felicitated in an Award Ceremony conducted online by NBQP where QCI Chairperson, Shri Jaxay Shah inspired all the winners to demand quality and promote quality along with Dr. R P Singh, Secretary General, QCI, Shri Vipin Sondhi, Chairperson, NBQP and Dr. A Raj, CEO, NBQP gracing the ceremony with their presence.
On the occasion, Shri Jaxay Shah, Chairperson, QCI , asserted that “Children are the future of a country and to realize the vision of ‘Developed India by 2047’, it becomes imperative to sensitize them about quality being the driving force in achieving this ambitious goal. Whether it is availing education, healthcare, or purchasing products from the market, quality must be at the forefront. We have successfully completed the pilot of ‘Quality Summer Fun Camp’ this year and we are certain that in coming years this will become one of the most anticipated activities for the students across the nation.”
Dr. R P Singh, Secretary General, QCI, said, “In an era where quality is the cornerstone of progress and success, it is essential to nurture the next generation with an understanding of its importance. This camp not only offered a unique blend of fun and learning but also encouraged young minds to embrace the inclusion of quality in daily life. It is through such experiences that we can mould future leaders who are not only creative and dynamic but also committed to upholding the highest standards in everything they do.
While felicitating the winners, Shri Vipin Sondhi, Chairperson, NBQP, said, “In addition to the captivating competitions, our quality awareness sessions left a lasting impact. We firmly believe that quality permeates every aspect of our daily lives, influencing areas ranging from food and habitat to the environment, toys, healthcare, and education. And, these sessions explored the significance of quality in all aspects of life, emphasizing environmental education and sustainable development. By delving into these vital topics, we provided students with a deeper understanding of how quality can shape a better world for us all.”
