Queen’s University Belfast Offers Graduate Ambassador Role Opportunity for Belfast and Dublin Students

The post with the New York based Emerald Isle Immigration Centre (EIIC) is to be funded from a $500,000 philanthropic gift from the Charles Lawrence Keith and Clara Miller Foundation.

The EIIC provides support to Irish immigrants and amplifies the voice of minority communities in New York.

The one-year position will be recruited annually from Queen’s and DCU on a rotating basis.

The Charles Lawrence Keith and Clara Miller Foundation, established in honour of Charlie Keith’s dedication to peace and justice, has a rich history of supporting causes that empower communities and individuals.

The new post was launched in New York by Dr Brian O’Dwyer (left), founder of the EIIC and Vice-Chancellor of Queen’s University Belfast, Professor Sir Ian Greer.

Queen’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Ian Greer said: “As a global university we want our students to avail of opportunities across the world. We are incredibly grateful for this funding which provides an avenue for our graduates to benefit from such an opportunity.

“This internship provides a fantastic platform for our graduates to gain experience in a hugely rewarding role, that will allow them to use the expertise they have gained through their undergraduate studies, while also expanding their skillset and knowledge.”
