Radboud University: New Agreement Reached on Spending Objectives for Decentralized Employment Conditions Funding
On 4 March, a new agreement on spending decentralised working conditions funds (DAVG) was adopted by the Executive Board and unions for 2024 to 2028. Read here the main changes from the previous DAVG agreement, such as the increase in the budget for the arts, culture and sports allowance.
Every year, the university receives a budget from the central government, from which money is available to spend. The spending objectives of the decentralised employment conditions funds are categorised into a number of themes in line with Radboud University’s mission.

Changes Selection Model
The amount in the Selection Model for the arts, culture and sports allowance will be increased from €100 to €120 if you work full-time. If you have already spent this budget in 2024, before the increase, you can reapply in BASS in the Selection Model for the increased amount.
Parental leave contribution
For departments, the contribution for replacement of employees on partially paid parental leave, which is reimbursed from DAVG to departments and units, will expire. Since August 2022, the partially paid parental leave you can take as an employee will be reimbursed from the UWV to the university (and internally to the unit) if taken in the first year of your child’s life. This change has no direct impact on you as an employee.
