Rajkamal Celebrates 73rd Year of Publication at India International Centre

New Delhi: Friday evening the seventy third Foundation Day of Rajkamal Prakashan was celebrated at the India International Centre in New Delhi. On this occasion, Bhavishya Ke Swar, the thought session was organized were seven speakers from different fields gave their views on the possibilities of the future. Many people related to literature, art, politics and media were present on this occasion.

Seventy three years of Publication history: Rajkamal Prakashan

On this special seventy-third anniversary occasion, former Managing Director of Rajkamal Publications Sheela Sandhu was also present. The current Managing Director Ashok Maheshwari presented Rajkamal Publication’s history book ‘Udta Kadam Badhti Raheen’ to her. Ashok Maheshwari said, “Sheila ji’s contribution in enhancing Rajkamal’s tradition and values is huge. Sheela ji has done some great initiative. Non-literary genres, literary criticism, Granthavali Prakashan, Rajkamal Paperbackshas started in her tenure only.

Rajkamal Prakashan was established on 28 February 1947. It came along with the independence of this country. The history of Rajkamal is also the history of modern Hindi publishing and modern Hindi writing. For the last 73 years, Rajkamal Prakashan has been playing its role in spreading Hindi literature throughout the country, especially in villages and towns of Hindi regions. This journey has its own struggle, its own story, its own history which is in a way the history of Hindi Literature.

Bhavishya Ke Swar: Future’s Voice

Rajkamal Prakashan has always recognized the changes happening in the present and the future in a positive way. The 73rdSthapna Divas marked the second year of Bhavishya Ke Swar celebration, this year also seven young speakers from different field, has delivered their speech on possibilities of future.

Jigyasa Labroo, who works to communicate artistic skills and increase self-confidence in the people, said in his statement on the subject of outspoken childhood, beautiful future that hatred and violence are increasing all over the world.

Well kown Dastango, Himanshu Bajpai, while speaking on the topic of KISSAGOI: The new era of oral tradition, said that when the media and the market playing a role in feeding only one kind of stories to the people, then the responsibility of a storyteller is huge. A storyteller role is to preserve the essences of diversity of our people, of our country.

Film analyst Mihir Pandya talked about the future of cinema and changing theme of cinema.He said, “The cinema who talks about our own land, our language, our stories, stories which reflects itself, not foreign cinema, stays longer in the global world. “

Poet and critic Mrityunjaya, while speaking on the subject of Fan Culture: Future Critic, said the challenge before today’s professional critic is to reconstruct the halo of composition but it is impossible to do it in the old way.
