Rajkamal Prakashan distributes books among Delhi Police

· In a unique initiative, Rajkamal Prakashan presented books to the representatives of Delhi Police as part of a 74th Rajkamal Foundation Day celebrations at Daryaganj Police Station

· Pustak Mitr Abhiyan reached out to children in the child welfare center, girl child welfare center, study circle, and gifted books and stationaries.

New Delhi: In the first step of Pustak-Mitr Abhiyan announced on the occasion of its 74th Foundation Day, Rajkamal Prakashan organized an event at Daryaganj Police Station premises as a part of the first step of the initiative in which books were presented to all the police representatives. Earlier in the day Rajkamal team along with Daryaganj Police Station reached out to children in child welfare center, girl child welfare center, study circle, and gifted books and stationaries.

Announcing the initiatives, Managing Director of Rajkamal Prakashan, Ashok Maheshwari said Rajkamal’s publishing journey started 74 years ago, ever since, it has always printed books. We are proud that we published books of all the best writers of Hindi, and the cycle continues. For the past two years on the occasion of our Foundation’s Day on 28th February, we have been celebrating our program ‘Bhavishya Ke Swar’; taking the same forward, we have taken the initiative of the book the ‘Pustak-Mitr Abhiyan We are committed to take books to every section of the society.’

Addressing the event,Sanjay Kumar, SHO of Daryaganj Police Station, who himself is a bibliophile, said that books are a repository of knowledge. Reading them can change one’s life. There is the inspiration behind what the author writes in books and that can be useful for the readers.

Earlier, while moderating the event, the young writer Vineet Kumar said that during the time of the pandemic, when all things and roles changed; to overcome their loneliness people turned to their favourite books. Books played an important role in the days of lockdown. In this context, Rajkamal Prakashan took a great step to present books among the Delhi Police.

Famous writer and Founder of Jankipul Prabhat Ranjan, read excerpts from Gonu Jha ke Qisse and young writer Praveen Jha read excerpts from Dharm se Aage (Dalai Lama) at Daryaganj Police station.

Rajkamal Prakashan and Daryaganj Police Station team visited Delhi’s child welfare center at Kucha Chelan, the girl child welfare center at Parda Bagh, and study circle in Yamuna Khadar, and presented books and stationery to the children there. On this occasion, Ashok Maheshwari said, these children are our future and the path to a good future passes through books. Realizing this, Rajkamal considered its duty to deliver books to these future readers. Rajkamal Prakashan has started the Pustak-Mitr Abhiyan from its 74th foundation day, under which various events will be organized throughout the year to make good books available to every section of the society.
