Rajkamal Prakashan offering readers to buy books now online and in store
New Delhi. After 41 days of the lockdown, the relaxation has come bringing some much-needed relief for book lovers. Now, book shops are allowed to be open along with other stand-alone shops. The pioneer in Hindi literature Rajkamal Prakashan has opened it’store at Daryaganj. The Publishing house is also offering online booking for readers.
The store will remain open from morning 11 o’clock to evening 4 o’clock.
Daryaganj, the ever-crowded street of old Delhi is always known for its food joints and famous book shops. Food and Books are the most essential part of our life. Thankfully, in the third phase of the lockdown government has decided to make the book as an essential thing. The lockdown has given people plenty of time to read and reclaim the old friendship with books.
The Managing Director of Rajkamal Prakashan Group, Mr Ashok Maheshwari said, “It’s a testing time for all of us. The peril is very much around but, we decided to take precaution at every level and make the books available for all readers. We have sanitization facilities at our stores and we are following social distancing strictly. Books are our best friend and you can’t live away from them for long.”
He also added, ” No one should feel alone at home, that’s why we will make sure that they must have books or the reading material with them. Books give hope and strength. We have also started ‘Food for thoughts’ initiative in which we share bouquet of poetry, stories, and excerpts from classic novels with readers through Whatsapp. Till now 10,000 people are connected with us and enjoying the daily dose of literature. We do serialised Facebook live to connect people with their favourite writers and artist. We have done 130 lives till now. ”
Cities in Green and orange zones can order the book online through Rajkamal Prakashan website. Cash on delivery will not be available for some time, but after making an online payment readers will get their deliveries soon.
The publication will timely announce the cities pin code open for delivery on their social media account and through Whatsapp.
