Rajouri Admin finalises District Skill Development plan for FY- 2022-23

RAJOURI : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers regarding finalization of District Skill Development plan for the financial year 2022-23 in the district.

Officers present in the meeting included CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; GM DIC, Ashwini Sharma; ACP, Abdul Rashid Kohli; CAO, Sohan Singh; LDM, Jyoti Prakash Sharma and other concerned officers.

During the meeting, it was informed that scores of new courses have been proposed in the plan this year to meet the aspirations of the unemployed youth.

Inquiring about the courses being run under NSQ framework, it was apprised that although the district trains around 10303 youth yearly, most of these courses being run are on non-NSQ framework. Only around 1500 candidates are trained yearly in NSQF aligned courses.

Stressing on upskilling of the youth, the DDC asked the concerned officers to explore new modalities to hone the ability of the talented youth of the district by taking skill development to grassroots level.

The DDC also directed the concerned officers to work with utmost dedication to ensure employment of youth by way of imparting requisite proficiency.
