Rajouri Admin organising mega cultural cum tourism promotion fest on March 27

Rajouri: To promote local culture and tourism, the District Administration Rajouri in collaboration with the Directorate of Tourism has finalized all arrangements to organize a one-day mega Cultural cum tourism promotion festival in the district on March 27.

Rajesh Kumar Shavan, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri convened a meeting with concerned Officers of the Tourism and Culture Department to finalize the arrangements.

The meeting chalked out modalities for organizing the event featuring promotion of local culture, tourist places, potential tourist sites and heritage sites in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the district has a huge potential in the tourism sector and the need of the hour is to promote it on the tourism map. He said harnessing the tourism potential will help to generate more employment avenues in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers to work in close coordination and ensure that all the arrangements are put in place well in time for the smooth and successful conduct of the mega cultural festival event.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed the Tourism Department to ensure the participation of local cultural groups, NGOs and invite renowned artists from outside for cultural exchange and promotion of tourism potential of the district.

“This event will provide a great opportunity for local artists to showcase their talent and promote their rich culture,” the DC said.

Among the others, CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SE Jal Shakti, SR Shukla; GM DIC, Manzoor Hussain; ACD, Sushil Khajuria; DPO, Chander Kant Bhagat; District Culture Officer, Dr ADr Dar; ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed; ExEn I&FC Rajouri, Sageer Malik; AD Tourism, Ambika Bali besides other concerned officers, artists, representatives from NGOs attended the meeting.
