Rajouri admin plans to hold village wise special camps for screening of children
DC reviews patient care facilities, staff position in health institutions
RAJOURI: District administration Rajouri is going to hold special camps for screening of children for various ailments under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK).
District Development Commissioner, Rajesh Kumar Shavan directed the Chief Medical Officer to hold the village wise special camps for screening of the children by involving the RBSK teams.
The DC was chairing a meeting to review the healthcare facilities being extended to patients, availability of doctors, paramedical staff, sanitation condition, stock position of medicines and other equipment, besides physical and financial achievements in the execution of different projects.
Earlier, the Chief Medical Officer, Dr Shamin Un Nissa Bhatti gave a detailed powerpoint presentation on the working of the department, manpower, and the health services being provided to the patients in the district. She informed that 199831 patents were attended in OPDs, 12788 IPD patients were treated and 278 major and 14823 minor surgeries were conducted in the district this financial year till ending July 2021.
The meeting was also informed that 3363 institutional, 226 Home and 809 C section deliveries were performed during the same period. She also informed that there is an increase in institutional deliveries as compared to last year.
Giving details about immunization, the CMO informed that 3689 pentavalent 3rd dose and 3689 polio 3rd doses were administered as routine immunisation. Similarly, the CMO also gave detailed information about the BCG, Hepatitis, DPT and other vaccinations.
The District Development Commissioner also reviewed the progress under Revised National TB Control Programme (RNTCP), Leprosy (NLEP), Malaria, Family welfare programme and working of District Medical Board.
Meanwhile, the District Development Commissioner directed the CMO to cancel all the attachments and submit a compliance report to his office at the earliest.
He further asked to shift the overstaying Health Officials at the earliest and hold special Covid vaccination camps in colleges for 100 per cent inoculation of the students.
Issues related to the appointment of the Female Multipurpose Health Workers were also discussed in the meeting.
