Rajouri: JKAACL hosts Sufiyana Mehfil e Musique at Saima

RAJOURI : Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages (JKAACL) Rajouri today organised a Sufiyana Mehfil e Musique at Saima, ThannaMandi on Annual Urs Sharief of Sayed Rasool Shah popularly known as Nanga Baji Sahab.

The program started with Naat Sharief followed by Sofiyana Musiciqui and Qawalies. The Sofi Singers/groups and artists who participated on the occasion were Ashfaq Mir, Parvaiz Malik, Sajid Qayoom Wani, Imtiaz Ahmed Shah, Rajesh Kumar, Prabhat Bali, Ashish Kumar, Choudhary Safder Mehmood, Safeer Naaz, Sahil Kumar, Jameel Ahmad, Aslam Khatana and their accompanists.

Dr Alamdar Adam, Special officer for cultural activities SOCA Rajouri-Poonch threw light on the importance of these activities and active participation of youth in the Cultural, literary and sports activities. He said that promotion of the Cultural and Literary standards is getting special focus of UT government of Jammu and Kashmir.

The event was conducted under the overall supervision of Secretary JKAACL, Rahul Panday, while Additional Secretary Sanjeev Rana monitored the event.

Baji Sayed Ayoub Shah Mohtasim, A disciple and Son of Nanga Baji Sahab appreciated the Cultural Academy Rajouri especially for the projection of Sufi Shrines of twin border Districts of Rajouri-and Poonch.
