Raksha Gopal- CBSE Class XII All India Topper awarded a cheque of Rs. 1, 00,000/-

Noida: Recognizing the hard work, diligence and commitment of 132 meritorious students who have scored 90% and above during CBSE Class XII Board Examinations 2017, an illustrious “Felicitation Ceremony” was organised at Amity School, Sector-44, Noida during which the students were felicitated by Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools.

During the ceremony, CBSE All India Topper from Amity International School, Noida -Raksha Gopal who created ripples in the country by scoring a whopping 99. 6% in Humanities was awarded a cheque of Rs. 1, 00,000/- for her dexterity and hard work by Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Ms. Anita Setia- Former Director, SCERT, Mr. Stelin- Sr. Consultant, Amity Group of Schools and Mr. T P S Chauhan- Advisor, Amity Schools.

Congratulating the meritorious students, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan said that dream cannot be fulfilled alone; it has to be a combined effort and hard work of students, parents and teachers together whose collective efforts have resulted in stupendous achievement of Amity students in Class XII Board Examinations. Dr. (Mrs.) Chauhan averred that Raksha Gopal has fulfilled her dream of seeing Amity scorers on the top rung of the ladder and stressed that Amity schools, now, aim to produce First, Second and Third All India Board Toppers in near future. She advised that education is important and so are the values, behaviorial science, hard work, attitude and trust in God. Dr. (Mrs.) Chauhan stressed that by imbibing values, morals and divine outlook, a person can achieve every goal and achieve lofty goals in life.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Renu Singh, Principal, Amity International School Noida congratulated the students for bringing laurels to Amity schools and said that by achieving great marks, the students have surpassed the previous achievements of the school and taken forward the legacy of Amity. She expressed that the board result speaks volumes about the passion and dedication of Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan towards education. She called upon the students to keep spreading the values instilled in them and keep giving their best to the world. Mrs. Singh thanked the parents for their unconditional support to their children as well as school.

Alumnus Asra Khan, who scored 98.4% in Class XII Boards and has taken admission in B.A. Pol Science in Hindu College, said that she joined Amity in Class XI but during these two years, she created lot of beautiful memories which she will cherish throughout her life. She thanked her teachers and batch mates who welcomed her with open hearts when she joined. Expressing her nostalgia, she stressed that in Amity every teacher guided them with individual attention like a mother and a mentor and transformed them into what they are today. She thanked Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan and all her teachers for leading her to the path of success.

Sharing her views, Alumnus Sana Sachdeva- another star achiever, who has secured admission in University of St. Andrews, Scotland expressed how Amity instilled unfathomable confidence and determination for achieving success in her. Studying in Amity since Class Nursery, Sana extended her heartfelt gratitude to teachers and school for the efforts they extended during her 14 years in Amity. She stressed that Amity taught her to strive for the best and never settle for less which she will continue to follow throughout her life.

Alumnus Megha Sahoo, who scored 96.2% in Science Stream and has taken admission in School of Architecture and Planning, Bhopal said that excellence is never an accident; it is a result of conscious efforts over a period of time and the excellent results of Amity Students has been due to the hard work of everyone associated with the School. She shared that her experience was like a roller coaster ride during 14 years full of learning, failures, and enlightenment. Megha further added that strong focus on academics and extra-curricular activities in Amity has made her a happy confident individual today.

During the ceremony, Ms. Renu Singh and all the teachers of Class XII were given appreciation letters, sweets and Tulsi Saplings by Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan in order to motivate them to keep excelling their respective fields.
