Ramban admin organises Career counselling for students

Ramban: District Administration, Ramban has mobilized all concerned departments to guide students to choose their desired profession by providing them counselling and other logistic support.

In this regard, the Department of Employment and Counselling in collaboration with District Industries Centre and Labour Department today conducted an offline career counselling session here at Government Higher Secondary School for the 12th class students, who would appear in competitive exams in the near future.

During the interactive session, the officers shared their experiences and success stories to motivate the participants to choose their profession with confidence besides preparing them to face challenges which may rise in future.

In his address, General Manager, DIC, Vishwajeet sensitized the participants about job potential in Industries Sector and benefits being extended by the Government to entrepreneurs under different schemes including Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme, MSME and Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.

Assistant Labour Commissioner, Ramban, Rakesh Arora also informed the prospective entrepreneurs about various labour laws and welfare schemes being implemented by the department.

Earlier, Assistant Director, Employment, Naresh Kumar gave a detailed presentation on career opportunities related to different streams of education besides new options recently opened with the launch of different job oriented schemes.

Later, In-charge Principal of the host school, Ranjay Kumar lauded the efforts of administration to conduct career counselling session besides urging the students to take maximum benefit from this initiative.
