Ramban college students urged to focus on entrepreneurial capabilities

Ramban: Continuing the celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (India@75) and “Atam Nirbhar Bharat” Jammu & Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (JK, KVIB) Ramban organized an awareness programme at Government Degree College, Ramban to sensitize the student about various employment based schemes.

General Manager, DIC, Vishwa Jeet , Executive Officer, JK KBIV, Ramban, Tilak Raj and representatives of other line departments and faculty members enlightened the students about self-sustainable schemes.

Speaking on the occasion, the GM, DIC highlighted the salient features of the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation programme (PMEGP) and various industrial schemes being implemented by the Department of Industries for the promotion of industry besides generating employment opportunities for locals in the district.

In his address, Executive Officer, KBIV urged the youth to take benefit from various employment schemes like PMEGP, Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment of Traditional Industries and Scheme of Funds for Rejuvenation of Traditional Industries. He informed that one cluster “Banihal Beekeeping Cluster ‘is presently functional in the district.

He also educated the participating students regarding various incentives offered by the Government to youth to start their own units besides other formalities.
