Ramban students promote rain water conservation through wall paintings

Ramban: As part of “Catch the Rain” campaign Department of Youth Services and Sports organized various painting events across the district under its week-long programmme.

Wall painting events were held at Batote, Kanga, Dharamkund and Ramban in which students from various schools participated and displayed their innovative and creative talent in conveying the message about importance of rain water harvesting and water conservation.

The Faculty members of the schools also motivated the students to disseminate the message of rain water harvesting in their respective areas to achieve the greater goal under “Catch the Rain” campaign launched by the Prime Minister on March 22 of to improve ground water levels besides fulfilling the micro irrigation requirements at local level.
