Rashtriya Balrang Mahotsav begins at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya

Bhopal : Commissioner, Public Instructions Smt. Jaishree Kiyawat today inaugurated the three-day Rashtriya Balrang Mahotsav at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya. She released the Baal-Patra on the occasion and spoke to the children attending the Mahotsav.

Smt. Jaishree Kiyawat said that the Rashtriya Balrang Mahotsav has brought special recognition to the state. This Mahotsav is a festival of learning and teaching activities for children. He hoped that students will take inspiration from Balrang in the the country’s rich cultural heritage dance, singing, instrumental and other arts and would give their best performances on bigger platforms.

On the first day of the Mahotsav, children gave attractive Cultural, Literary, Sanskrit and Yoga performances. The performances of the disabled children in the competitions were a centre of attraction. Laghu Bharat Pradarshini ‘Samarth” was organized in the Mahotsav. In this, the culture and glorious traditions of various states were displayed in an attractive manner. School students displayed various schemes and activities in the exhibition. School children put up stalls of famous delicacies of the state in the Mahotsav.

On the first day of Balrang Mahotsav today, state-level competitions were organized for the children in which division level school children gave attractive cultural performances. National folk-dance competition will be organized on December 20-21 at the Mahotsav. Children are being given information regarding jungle camp, river crossing, monkey bridge, commando bridge at the scout camp in the Mahtosav.

Governor to inaugurate ceremony

Governor Shri Lalji Tandon will inaugurate the Rashtriya Balrang Samaroh at 11 am on December 20. School children from 13 states are taking part in the ceremony. Folk dance will be performed by the children from various states at the ceremony.
