Rashtriya Gourav Samman Awardee J.M. Singh is nominated to continue as Area Welfare Officer

Mumbai : Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT), Govt. of India, New Delhi has nominated Shri Jayprakash M. Singh, AE, Akashvani, Malad, Mumbai to continue as Area Welfare Officer in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai.
Presently, Shri Singh, is the Centre-in-charge of Grih Kalyan Kendra of Mumbai/Navi Mumbai Division and is actively involved in organizing various welfare activities for the benefit of Central Govt. employees and their families under the guidance of the Secretary, GKK, New Delhi.
Shri Singh has created many records in GKK history by organising International Yoga Day, National Health Day, Mobile Awareness Yoga Camps to fulfil the dream project of Narendra Modi, Hon’ble, Prime Minister, Govt. of India and motivated more than 10,000 people across Mumbai.
He has also initiated “Swachhata Hi Seva” Abhiyan and made several awareness camps in various GKK Centres with the cooperation of YOGA students. Being motivated by his august project, Mumbai Police also came forward to join in the GKK awareness rally (Kept ‘JHADU’ in hand in the place of Gun.
He has motivated many Central Govt. Employees through his gentle and simple behaviour and started election with ‘Ballet Paper Voting’ in various centres which was defended for last 25 years, happily, all RWA in Mumbai are now working smoothly in their locality. This work could be made possible only by J.M.Singh.
Shri Singh has started not only Yoga activities, but also Karate, Judo, Bharat Natyam, Modern Dance, Tailoring, Beautician course, Medical health check up camps, Blood Donation Drives, Cultural and recreational programs for the benefit of the Central Govt. staff and their families.
Shri Singh is also involved in Tree Plantation Drive since 1989.Govt. of Maharashtra has recognised his talent and nominated him as ‘Nodal Officer’ for tree plantation work and under his noble guidance, more than one lakh trees have been planted so far by his team members with the help of various NGOs.
For his tremendous leadership work and social welfare activities, he has been awarded the prestigious ‘RASHTRIYA GOURAV SAMMAN-2018’ (NATIONAL AWARD) by Shri Vijay Goel, Hon’ble Minister of Statistics, Prog. and Implementation, Govt. of India and Shri Ramdas Athawale, Hon’ble Minister, Social Justice and Empower, Govt. of India at Andhra Bhawan, New Delhi organized by National Youth Awardees Federation of India (NYAFI).
Shri Singh has been also selected to receive another National Award “Rashtriya Pratibha Samman Puraskar-2018”, by Dr. Satyapal Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State, HRD, Govt. of India on the occasion of Indian Constitution Day for his successful conduction of various social welfare activities in Mumbai GKK as Centre-in- charge, Griha Kalyan Kendra, Mumai/ Navi Mumbai.
Mrs. Sumitra Maharana, Yoga Instructor, GKK, Mumbai has been also honoured with the ‘Rashtriya Yuva Gourav Samman-2018 for successfully conducting the Yoga program and Dr. B.K.Maharana, In-charge, Yoga Training Sessions, GKK, Mumbai has received the ‘International Youth Award’ and ‘BHARATSHREE AWARD’ for his tremendous leadership and philanthropic Social service work for the Community.
Vanita Sood, In-charge Secretary, Griha Kalyan Kendra, New Delhi and the Chief Welfare Officer, Deptt.of Personnel and Training, Govt. of India, said, “its really a happy and proud moment which will definitely inspire all of us, to make our Nation strong and great.”
