Rashtriya Poshan Mah: AYUSH Kulgam organises ‘Poshan Vatika’ programme

KULGAM : Under Rashtriya Poshan Mah, the Department of AYUSH Kulgam today organised a program with the theme ‘Poshan Vatika’ by planting locally available nutritious plant species at various places of the district.

On the occasion, Dr. Ab Rehman Rather District Nodal Officer AYUSH Kulgam gave an awareness speech regarding the importance of Healthy food Habits and also highlighted the side effects of Junk foods.

He also stressed to use the immune boosting Ayush Medicines which are freely available at Govt. AYUSH institutions and different PHCs to combat Covid-19 pandemic. During the camp free AYUSH medicines and face masks were distributed among the participants.

Rather further added that the department of AYUSH Kulgam has organised more than 275 camps from 04th April 2020 till date during which free Immunity-boosting Ayush Medicines were distributed.

Meanwhile different programs were also organised at different places with the theme ‘Yoga & Ayush Nutrition camps’ for pregnant women, children & Adolescent girls.
