‘Rashtriya Poshan Mah’ programme organised at Kulgam

KULGAM : The Department of AYUSH Kulgam in collaboration with ICDS Kulgam today organised a program under the banner of ‘Rashtriya Poshan Mah’ with the theme ‘Yoga, Role of Ayush Medicines & Nutritional interventions for pregnant women, children and Adolescent Girls’.

The day-long programme was inaugurated by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Reyaz Ahmad Sofi at AYUSH Centre Chawalgam here.

On the occasion, the ADDC and Dr Abdul Rahman (DNO AYUSH) gave an awareness speech regarding the importance of Healthy food Habits and also highlighted the side effects of Junk foods.

The ADDC also sensitized participants about various schemes of the department.

Dr.Rehman stressed to use the immune boosting Ayush Medicines which are freely available at Govt. AYUSH institutions and different PHC’s to combat Covid-19 pandemic.

He further added that the department of AYUSH Kulgam has organised more than 289 camps from 04th April 2020 to till date in which free Immune-boosting Ayush Medicines were distributed.

The function was also attended by ward members, District Nodal Officer AYUSH and CDPO, Supervisory Staff, Anganwadi workers etc.
