RBI organises meeting for MSME Entrepreneurs in Samba

Jammu: Financial Inclusion and Development Department of RBI, Jammu organized a meeting in Samba District to create awareness among MSME entrepreneurs about banking facilities, various government schemes available to MSME entrepreneurs and to sensitize them on the various guidelines issued by RBI on MSME sector.
Various activities including Financial Literacy Camps for MSMEs, visits to RSETIs/ITIs/EDIs to sensitize trainees and coordinate with the local office of SIDBI, MSME-DI and DIC to expand the outreach has been planned during the week.
GM, RBI Satya Narain, welcomed the participants and stated that the objective of the Town Hall meeting is to make the entrepreneurs aware of the availability of banking facilities, latest banking developments and also to get their feedbacks on the issues and problems being faced by them in accessing finance from the banking system.
He said that there is a strong need to encourage entrepreneurship among the youth so that more and more among them could come forward and take advantage of the above initiatives of the Government. He exhorted upon the entrepreneurs to come forward and be partners in economic growth of the country and sought cooperation from all stakeholders in supporting the MSME sector.
General Manager, DIC, Samba Sansar Chand also shared his valuable insights with the MSME entrepreneurs and bankers.
