RDD B’la conducts Sensitisation Workshop for PRIs, other Stakeholders

 

BARAMULLA : In view of National Panchayat Raj Divas 2022, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Baramulla today organized a day long Sensitisation Workshop at Goom Ahmad Pora, Block Sheerabad Khore of Baramulla district.

Different stakeholders’ viz. PRIs, prominent persons, frontline workers and other concerned stakeholders from different Gram Panchayats showed their overwhelming participation in the event.

On the occasion, a team of resource persons from the Ministry of Panchayat Raj, Government of India delivered an array of lectures and disseminated the necessary information among the participants.

The Assistant Commissioner Development Baramulla, Yar Ali Khan, said that the workshop was conducted with an aim to discuss and deliberate about the vision and goal of different thematic areas envisioned under Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs). The programme was also aimed to educate the PRIs and other stakeholders about the role and the underlined activities which are to be performed at Gram Panchayat level.

The ACD further added that mapping of resources and their integration with Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) were some other thematic areas over which the concerned resource persons deliberated so that the participants are well acquainted about these subjects.

It is worth mentioning here that several capacity building activities are being organised across the length and breadth of Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of National Panchayat Raj Divas to be celebrated on 24th of April 2022.
