Recruitment drive for female students, Parwaaz 2.0
ALIGARH : The Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University organized the second edition of Parwaaz, a pioneering recruitment drive exclusively for female students of University’s Women’s College with an objective to empower women through career-building opportunities.
Addressing the inaugural session, the chief guest, Prof. Salma Ahmed, Chairperson, Department of Business Administration, urged the students to develop in them resilience that empowers them to break the societal barriers and help embrace opportunities.
The guest of honour, Prof. Vibha Sharma (Department of English) encouraged the female students to step out of their comfort zones and work hard for professional excellence.
The Principal of Women’s College, Prof. Masood Anwar Alavi exhorted the students to utilize this opportunity to make a good career and learn how to get the best opportunities in the job market.
Earlier, welcoming the guests and corporate representatives, Dr. Muzammil Mushtaq said that more than 300 registrations had been made with additional walk-in participants, and the event provided a unique platform for students to connect with 18 reputed companies from different sectors.
Dr. Pallav Vishnu emphasized the importance of such initiatives in shaping the professional individuality of women.
Dr. Suhalia Parveen felicitated the HR representatives of corporate partners, who appreciated the initiative and expressed interest in being part of such events in the future as well, reaffirming their support for fostering diversity and inclusion.
Dr. Mansoor Alam Siddique, Coordinator of Parwaaz 2.0, extended a vote of thanks.
