Refresher course on teaching methodology begins at AMU

 

ALIGARH  : The Centre for Promotional Development of Urdu Teachers (CPDUT), popularly known as the Urdu Academy, Aligarh Muslim University, organized an a week-long refresher course on “Teaching Methodology of Language and Literature,” which began on March 4.

The chief guest, Dean Students’ Welfare, Prof. Rafiuddin (Department of Chemistry) elaborated on how teachers should deal with their pupils as a compassionate guide. He said that teachers become role models for their students for the rest of their lives, thus they should conduct themselves with grace and humility and never stop learning new things to serve in a better manner.

Prof. Quamrul Hooda Faridi, the director of the CPDUT said that this course is meant for the Urdu teachers of university schools helping them develop their skills in teaching methodology of Urdu. He expressed gratitude to the Directorate of School Education and the principals of the university schools for their cooperation and support.

Prof. Tariq Chattari, Dr. Rahat Abrar, Dr. Abu Swaleh were present as the resource persons. The course coordinator, Dr. Rafiuddin extended a vote of thanks.
