Regional scientific online seminar “Yusupov readings”
On February 27, 2021, a regional scientific online seminar “Yusupov Readings” was held at PetrSU.
On February 27, “Yusupov Readings” took place online in memory of Honored Worker of Education of Karelia, Honorary Worker of Higher Education of Russia, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian Language Zara Gabbasovna Yusupova (1932-2011), who spent almost half a century working with students of Petrozavodsk University, a developer new methods of teaching the Russian language, computer programs for teaching the native language, the initiator of many scientific and practical conferences for Russian teachers, olympiads in the Russian language for schoolchildren.
At the regional seminar, the leading teachers of literature from Petrozavodsk, representatives of educational institutions that maintain long-standing creative contacts with Petrozavodsk State University spoke: Secondary School No. 10 named after A.S. Pushkin (N.V. Artemieva), Lyceum No. 1 (N.M. Usova), Derzhavin Lyceum (I.M. Roy), Petrozavodsk Presidential Cadet School (I.N. Mineeva, T.B. Petruk, I.M. Klimochkin), Petrozavodsk Pedagogical College (OS Kazakovtseva), the faculty of the Russian Language Department of PetrSU (NV Patroeva, IN Dyachkov, N.S. Shubin), many of whom studied under Z. G. Yusupova’s pedagogical skills.
The teachers of the Russian language shared with the listeners new methodological techniques and computer technologies for teaching the Russian language, advanced experience in conducting classes with schoolchildren and students. Students of the Institute of Philology of PetrSU, teachers of the city and districts of Karelia, former students of Zara Gabbasovna took an active part in the seminar.

In conclusion, Patroeva noted that the Department of the Russian Language actively uses the teaching aids of Zara Gabbasovna Yusupova in the educational process and plans to make “Yusupov Readings” an annual scientific and methodological forum for teachers of the Russian language in Petrozavodsk, Karelia and Russia.
