Registration of Workers: Labour Department organises awareness camp at Paddar
Paddar: To disseminate information about the recently launched Mission Mode Project for registration of Building and Construction Workers of the district and to educate about various Schemes of JK Building and Construction Workers welfare board a 2 -day awareness camp was launched here today at the BDO office Gulab Garh, Paddar.
The camp witnessed the participation of about 500 workers and on spot registration forms were filled up by these participants hailing from the different parts of the block with due observance of COVID 19 protocols.
Besides, the awareness regarding the various social security schemes pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers welfare board were also given to them.
Meanwhile, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Anoop Kumar, informed that the department has set a target of registering 21355 workers which includes 7859 new registrations and renewal of 13496 inactive workers.
BDO Paddar, Din Mohd Afaqi; Medical Officer PHC Atholi, Dr. Rakesh Kotwal; Labour Officer Fulail Singh, PRI members besides various officials and field line functionaries remained present in the camp.
