Registrations begin for the 15th edition of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz

Mumbai: India’s largest and much awaited inter-collegiate business quiz, the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz is back with an action-packed 15th edition! With an exciting T-20 format, the quiz will be kicking-off from Salem on January 19, 2019. The quiz will be held in 40 cities across India, with Trivandrum and Bhopal, being the two new additions this time. The National finals will be held in Mumbai in April 2019.

The 15th edition is designed in an exciting, fast moving T-20 cricket format. The quiz rounds and the scoring pattern have been devised according to a cricket theme. The 40 cities participating in the quiz are divided in five zones. The winners of the regional rounds will compete in the zonal finals; and the top two teams from each zone will compete for the national title in Mumbai. The key to winning this coveted competition is strategic thinking, risk taking and prompt decision making, backed by teamwork.

The national winning team will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.5 lakhs*, along with the coveted Tata Crucible trophy. The regional winners and runners-up will receive cash prizes of Rs.75,000/-* and Rs.35,000/-* respectively. The prizes for this edition of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz are being supported by Fastrack.

The quiz will be conducted by noted quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam, better known as ‘Pickbrain’, who has been conducting the quiz ever since its inception.

In 2017, Tata Crucible further introduced the ‘Tata Crucible Campus Hackathon’. The second edition of the Hackathon kicks off this month with registration and online solution submissions open till January 31, 2019. Full-time students from campuses across India are invited to come up with ideas to solve the most intriguing challenges, covering areas like industrial processes, sanitation to road safety related issues. The finals for the Hackathon will be held in March 2019 in four cities, where the most innovative prototype/solution will be awarded cash prize upto Rs.70,000/-* for winning team and Rs.30,000/-* for runner-up team.
