Relaxo Research Centre in Hindu College: Aligning industry and academia

In a welcome move, India’s largest footwear manufacturer Relaxo Footwears Ltd and Hindu College have come together to set up Relaxo Research Centre in the college premises to promote scientific temper among students.

Recently inaugurated by Prof. Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor, Delhi University the Centre aims to act as a cradle for exchange of ideas, connect with educationists and provide industry insight to students, while providing ample practical opportunities for scientific research. Relaxo has set up two labs at the Centre, one each for product design and polymer research. Striving to connect the dots right from ideation, technology & design and development of innovative, consumer relevant footwear products these labs shall act as an extension of the brand.

“We are honored to be a part of this project in establishing Relaxo Research Centre at Hindu College, Delhi University. This Research Centre will provide significant opportunities to students for ideation and research”, said Mr. Ramesh Kumar Dua, Managing Director, Relaxo Footwears Ltd. at the inaugural ceremony. He further added, “Once fully functional, Relaxo Research Centre will transform and catalyze the thought process among students”.
