Religious leaders have a key role in the battle against Covid-19: DC Kulgam

Kulgam : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today convened a meeting of religious leaders, Imams, Khateebs, with an aim to motivate them to sensitize people about the pandemic.

While addressing the meeting, the DC said that Religious leaders have a key role in the battle against Covid-19. He urged upon them to proactively sensitize the people to adhere to Covid-19 SOPs.

During the meeting it was also decided that people will be motivated to offer Salah at home by Imams and kahateebs in view of the surge of COVID-19 cases and only few people will attend prayers in mosques.

This decision was taken for the betterment of people in view of surge in Covid-19 infection cases.

The DDC extended his gratitude to ulemas for extending their cooperation in Covid-19 mitigation efforts.
