RELO orientation programme

ALIGARH : More than 45 students of the MA ELT programme in the Department of English, Aligarh Muslim University attended a workshop on opportunities available for professional teaching and learning programmes under the Regional English Language Office (RELO), US Department of State and got acquainted with the resources and programmes, including the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), OPEN Scholarships, Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Programme, American English (AE) resources and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) methodology, etc.

Prof. Raashid Nehal and Dr. Zainab Sarwat highlighted the research, training and professional opportunities offered by RELO and distributed the resources and materials shared by Dr Ruth Goode, Director, RELO, New Delhi.

They described how students should make use of English language and professional opportunities, the Virtual Educator Program, specialist Fellow programme through a dedicated Facebook platform and webinars
