Republic Day arrangements 2021 finalized at Udhampur

Udhampur: The arrangements for the Republic Day function at District Head Quarter were finalized here at a meeting of District Officers of different departments chaired by District Development Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla.

It was decided in the meeting that the main function would be held at Government PG Degree College Boys, Udhampur where the chief guest would hoist the National flag and take the salute at 9:55 Am. The contingents drawn from J&K Police, District Police Line, NCC, CRPF, SKPA and Home Guard would participate in the march past. The function would start with the Shehnai Vadan in the morning by the Information department.

The DDC asked the departments to put in place all the necessary arrangements well in time for the smooth and enthusiastic celebrations of the National event. He said that the whole programme will be conducted by following COVID 19 SOPs.
