Research expedition to Medvezhyegorsk district

During the expedition, work was carried out to examine the historic building of the early twentieth century – residential building No. 6 of the second lock of the White Sea-Baltic Canal.

A 3D scan of the building was performed using a 3D scanner, its technical condition was determined, measurements were made and shooting from a quadcopter. The residential building attracted attention for its uniqueness. It is currently in disrepair. The restoration project as part of the final qualifying work will be carried out by Artur Korneev under the leadership of L.F. Selyutina.

Also filmed from a quadrocopter of the Nikolsky Church, built in memory of the GULAG prisoners who died during the construction of the White Sea-Baltic Canal. Built 3D-model of the objects.

Career guidance work was carried out with the students of the Medvezhyegorsk secondary school. The schoolchildren participated in the survey of a residential building and filming of the temple, got acquainted with the methods of examining buildings and modern equipment. The parents of the schoolchildren and Artur Korneev rendered invaluable help.

The results obtained during the expedition will be used for writing scientific articles, final qualification work and participation in conferences and forums.
