Research project sanctioned
ALIGARH : Dr Muzamil Mushtaq, Assistant Professor, Department of Library and Information Science and Assistant TPO (General), Aligarh Muslim University has received a research project of Rs 10 lakh from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi.
The research project entitled, “Design and Development of a Data Repository System in Social Sciences: A Study of Social Science Research Data in Central Universities of India” is aimed at studying the research data in the field of social science in central universities of the country, said Dr Muzamil.
He said society is becoming more data-intensive and collaborative and the data has been named the new gold to be used as an instrument of scientific exploration and advancement. This study will explore the RDM policy, its effective implementation and data repository systems in academic institutes, which will act as a prototype for the academic institutes of our country.
