Results of the conference “The Constitution of the Russian Federation: Human Rights in the Digital Age”

The Institute of Economics and Law and the Department of Jurisprudence of Petrozavodsk State University, with the support of the Office of Pre-University and Career Guidance, held a remote regional scientific and practical conference.
The scientific-practical conference “The Constitution of the Russian Federation: Human Rights in the Digital Age” was attended by students and schoolchildren of grades 10-11.

The purpose of the conference is to reflect on the experience of implementing constitutional human rights in the context of digitalization of various spheres of life.

The objectives of the conference are to form students’ scientific competencies, including the ability to summarize, formalize and present the results of their scientific research, as well as to identify and support students who show interest and ability in research work.

106 people were registered to participate in the event, 35 interesting, competent and fascinating reports were prepared. Among the participants and listeners were students of PetrSU, students of the Northern Institute (branch) VSUYU (RPA Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation), students of the Academic Lyceum, the Petrozavodsk Presidential Cadet School, the Secondary School No. 35, the Lyceum No. 1 and the MAOU “School No. 266 of the closed city of Alexandrovsk” of the Murmansk region. I also want to note the informational support of the conference provided by our Interdistrict Resource Center of PetrSU in Kostomuksha, thanks to which almost the entire school in the village of Borovoy, Kalevala district, took part as listeners of the conference!

The participants’ performances (reports and answers to questions) were assessed by the conference jury consisting of: A.A. Shlyamina, teacher of the Department of Law of the Institute of Economics and Economics of PetrSU, conference organizer, V.V. Blatkova, Candidate of Law, Head of the Department of Legal Science of the Institute for Economic Policy of PetrSU, R.O. Malysheva, senior lecturer at the Department of Law, Department of Administrative Law and Procedure, PetrSU, S.G. Golenok, Candidate of Law, Deputy Director for Educational Work of the IEP of PetrSU, I.Yu. Biserova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Theory of Law and Civil Law Disciplines, R.V. Tumanov, Ph.D., Head of the Department of Theory of Law and Civil Law Disciplines.

After a long and difficult discussion of the participants’ reports, the jury announced the winners of the conference.

1st place was taken by Mitin Anton Valerievich, a 4th year student of the Institute of Economics and Law of PetrSU, who delivered a brilliant report “Remote (remote) work in the light of amendments to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation “;

2nd place was shared by Gatchenko Vladislav Olegovich and Zubanova Kristina Vladimirovna, 3rd year students of the Institute of Economics and Law of PetrSU, with the fascinatingly worked out topic “The electronic form of the work book as an innovation in labor legislation: advantages and disadvantages” , as well as Kamenshchikova Zlata Andreevna – a student of the 11th grade of the MOU “Lyceum No. 1”, which prepared an excellent report on the topic “Protection of the honor and dignity of children” ;

The 3rd place was taken by Nikita Alekseevich Zakhariev and Anastasia Vladimirovna Pinchuk, pupils of the 10th grade of the Academic Lyceum, with the report “The Internet as an area of ​​copyright” and Viktoria Rudenko , student of the School No. 266 ZATO Aleksandrovsk, with the report ” The problem of using rights person in Russia in the era of digitalization ” .

The conference “The Constitution of the Russian Federation: Human Rights in the Digital Age” was organized and held online on the ZOOM platform as part of the career guidance work of the Institute of Economics and Law and the development program of the flagship university with the support of the Office of Pre-University and Career Guidance.
