Results of the II online physical training competition among schoolchildren of Karelia

During the period of distance learning and the cancellation of many competitions, teachers of the Department of Physical Culture of PetrSU continued a series of popular online competitions in general physical training among schoolchildren of the Republic of Karelia.
From January 20 to January 30, all students of secondary schools of the city and the republic were able to take part in competitions using smart Strava mobile applications.

Competitors had to complete tasks of their choice – “Running”, “Walking” or “Skiing” using the Strava mobile app for the specified period.

The winners were determined in individual and team competitions in three categories: “5-6 grades”, “7-8 grades” and “9-11 grades”.

The 1st place among students of grades 5-6 , with the result of 886 kilometers, was taken by the team of Pitkyaranta secondary school №1.

Among schoolchildren of grades 7-8, the victory was won by the students of the Derzhavinsky Lyceum (Petrozavodsk), their result was 143 kilometers.

The winners of the competition in the category “9-11 grades” were schoolchildren of the Rabocheostrovskaya secondary school (Kemsky district), they covered 277 km.

The organizers of the competition express their gratitude to the teachers of physical education: Dratvina Anna Yurievna (Sheltozerskaya secondary school), Osmolovskaya Natalya Viktorovna (Derzhavinsky lyceum), Svetlova Anastasia Lvovna (Rabocheostrovskaya secondary school), Efremova Ekaterina Borisovna (Pitkyarantskaya secondary school No. 1) for support, active participation , assistance in maintaining and strengthening the health of schoolchildren and their parents, shaping the value of health and a healthy lifestyle.

On February 1, all schoolchildren of the Republic of Karelia returned to the traditional format of education, we hope that soon everyone will be able to measure their strength on sports grounds, not only in individual sports, but also in team, game sports.
