Reva university celebrates First Reva Research Conclave 2018 in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: Reva University, a young University, which gained popularity within short period of time through its research and innovations, has conveyed First Reva Research Conclave-2018. Conclave gave opportunity to research scholars to showcase their research and innovations on varied technologies, such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Bio-technology, Digital Electronics etc and provided platform to connect scholars with industry directly augmenting scholars to commercialize technology and get funded.
Dr. P. Shyama Raju, the hon’ble Chancellor of Reva University gave much emphasis on Research, which made him to organize Research Conclave in a great magnitude. The event was inaugurated by Padma Vibhushan Dr. Vasudev K Aatre, Former Chief, Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO): Former scientific Advisor to Raksha Mantri, Govt. of India.
Dr. P. Shyama Raju aimed to list Reva University in top 100 best universities of the world in span of three years. Dr. Raju provided best facilities required by students to thrive up with research and innovations, which made Reva to get University Tag within short period. “Research should provide solutions to the problems of society” was mantra of Dr.Raju.
Dr. Vasudev K Aatre , a veteran scientist encouraged and motivated students and scholars to have good intent, passion and attitude to bring technological transformation. In his comprehensive speech, he touched every aspect of life and how technology can give solutions to it. Narrow mindedness and pessimistic approach has kept Indian youth talent unused. As many students are looking for salaried job, ignoring research and innovation, India is producing less number of scientists and technology. He added, India doesn’t have dearth of talent and knowledge, however it is not used to an optimum level to leverage technology in best way to provide solutions to the problem faced by country in particular, globe in general.
This Two day Research conclave also involves panel discussion on “Digitization: Challenges and opportunities for economy and Society”. Panel Consisted many eminent persons and it was moderated by Dr. Jay Bharateesh Simha, CTO & Director, Analytics and ABIBA Systems will feature Prof. R. S. Deshpande, Rajiv Gandhi National Fellow ICSSR, Institute for Social and Economical Change, Kishore Balaji, Director Corporate Affairs, South Asia at Intel, IIM Bengaluru, Suresh Ramu, Co-founder & CEO, CyteCare Hospitals, Dr. Upinder Dhar, Vice Chancellor, Shri. Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, Mr. Madhusudan Shekar, Principal Technical Evangelist, Amazon Internet Services Pvt. Ltd. Together they will share breakthrough thinking and insights on how to cope up the challenges posed and opportunities to be explored in the domains of Social and Economical due to Digitization.
University also brought applications like Journal Indexing System and Research Scholars Database Management to have authentic and accessible research papers to help future scholars.
Dr. Aatre emphasized to have basic fundamentals such as Learn, Investigate, Research, and Present and promote to build great university, which can create passion and enthusiasm among other individuals to come up with new technology.
