“Reviving Wellness: BRA Bihar University Health Center Reopens After Two Decades”

 

In a significant and long-awaited development, the BRA Bihar University Health Center, which had remained non-operational for two decades, was ceremoniously revitalized and reopened today. This monumental achievement was made possible through tireless  efforts of Vice Chancellor Prof.  Dinesh Chandra Rai, who spearheaded the initiative to restore this vital facility.

The auspicious occasion of the health  center’s inauguration was graced by the esteemed presence of Sri Nand Kishore Yadav, the Speaker of the Bihar Vidhan Sabha, other dignitaries, university officials and notable alumni. In addition to inaugurating the refurbished Health Center, Sri Nand Kishore Yadav also took part in the official opening of the University Alumni Association office, symbolizing a dual celebration of progress and unity within the university community.

Speaking on the occassion Vice Chancellor Priof. Dinesh Chandra Rai while extending thanks  to everyone who has contributed to this endeavor said he is  confident that the revitalized Health Center will play a key role in promoting a healthier and more vibrant campus life for years to come. He said  that the revival of the Health Center represents a significant milestone for BRA  Bihar University, marking a renewed commitment to the health and well-being of its students, faculty, and staff. The center will now once again serve as a cornerstone of support, providing essential healthcare services and promoting a culture of wellness on campus. The BRABU Health Center stands as a beacon of care, ready to serve and support all members of our university family, Prof. Rai added. Prof. Rai further said reopening of the BRABU Health Center is not merely inaugurating a physical facility; we are reinstating a hub of well-being and care within our university community. After two decades of dormancy, this momentous occasion signifies a new era of health and wellness at our university.

Shri Nand Kishore Yadav, Speaker, Bihar Bidhan Sabha said that the dual inauguration of the Health Center and the Alumni Association office exemplifies a new chapter of vitality and engagement at BRA  Bihar University, setting the stage for continued advancements in student support, academic excellence, and community cohesion. The availability of a functional Health Center will ensure that students have easy access to essential healthcare services, including medical consultations, first aid, vaccinations, and health screenings. This accessibility will encourage students to prioritize their health and seek timely medical assistance when needed, Speaker Shri Nand Kishore Yadav added.

Many notable alumni, university officials, and dignitaries graced their presence at the inaugural ceremony of the BRABU Health Center and BRABU Alumni Association office. Among those in attendance includes former minister Shri Suresh Kumar, Sharma, Principal, LS College, Prof. Om Prakash Roy, Registrar Dr. Aprajita Krishna, Proctor Prof. BS Rai,  RBBM Principal, Prof. Manta Rani, Dr. Sanjay Sinha, CA K K Chaudhary, Dr. Shartendu Shekhar, Dr. Navin Kumar among others.
