RGUKT, Basar and NFTDC sign MoU to pool their expertise and resources

Hyderabad: Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Basar and Non Ferrous Materials Technology Development Centre (NFTDC), Hyderabad entered a MoU to pool their expertise and resources here at RGUKT Campus, Basar today. The MoU was signed by RGUKT Basar Vice Chacellor Dr. A. Ashok Kumar and NFTDC’s Director, Dr. K. Bala Subramanian. RGUKT located in Basar, Telangana offers Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Ph.D degree in various programmes. NFTDC is an autonomous and self financing R&D institution under the aegis of Ministry of Mines, dedicated to the development of Advanced Materials, Innovative Processes on one hand and Engineering Design, Analysis, Electronics and Instrumentation leading to component and systems development and integration on the other.

Then MoU entails offering a joint M.Tech and PhD Programme, exchange of faculty and scientists in course work as well as research, submission of joint project proposals to funding agencies, sharing of necessary laboratory equipments and facilities for collaborative research projects. Under the MoU few students of RGUKT, Basar will be given an option of serving in NFTDC upon satisfying the eligibility criteria.

NFTDC undertakes complex technology development endeavours as interdisciplinary projects involving both knowledge creation (scientific know-why) and knowledge integration (technical know-how). The basic core competencies of NFTDC in Design, Advanced Materials & Manufacturing and Controls and Instrumentation have been integrated in all projects to render technology solutions in an end-to-end paradigm. The MoU will facilitate the creation of large reservoir of highly qualified manpower in all fields related.
