RHTC organises 3 day event

Aligarh : The Rural Health Training Centre (RHCT), Jawan, run by the Department of Community Medicine, JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised a 3-day event, to sensitize the people about the benefits of Yoga, and healthy lifestyle.

On the first day, a yoga session was held which was attended by the residents of the area, interns, Residents and faculty members. Dr. Anchal Negi demonstrated various Yoga Asanas which were followed by the attendees.

Other fun activities like carom, chess and volleyball matches were also held. A plantation drive was held to stress the importance of trees and greenery for the environment.

The second day began with the Lemon race, and 50 meters race. A Kho-Kho match was also held.

On the third day, various fun activities including Handi Phod, musical chair and tug of war were held.

Prof. Saira Mehnaz, Prof. Uzma Eram, Chairperson, Department of Community Medicine, Dr. Tabassum Nawab, Dr Urfi, Dr. Ali Jafar Abedi, Prof. Ziya Siddiqui, and Dr. Suboohi Afzal joined these activities.

Prizes and certificates were distributed to the participants and event organizers.
