Rice University’s Moody Center for the Arts begins Pride month with live music, open gallery
The Moody Center for the Arts hosted a Pride happy hour on the afternoon of June 8, which featured a cappella renditions of pop favorites by Pride Chorus Houston and tunes from DJ Krazzy Kris. At the gallery, guests also had full access to the JooYoung Choi exhibition “Love and Wondervision,” which is on display through Aug. 26.
Choi’s exhibit explores complex issues of identity, often based on her personal journey and supported by her research into the media’s representation of girls, women, intersex, transgender and nonbinary people of color.
