Rishihood University delegation visit US Ivy Leagues to boost academic linkages and faculty opportunities
New Delhi: A senior delegation from India’s first social impact university, Rishihood University (RU), is currently touring the US, visiting top Ivy League universities. The delegation includes Chancellor and Member of Parliament, Suresh Prabhu, Co-Founder & CEO, Sahil Aggarwal, and Vice-Chancellor, Shobhit Mathur, who’ve planned meetings and interactions with reputed business leaders, academicians and students for fundraising, networking and talent scouting. The delegation is primarily seeking to connect with like-minded people and institutions in the US, raising awareness about the rising India story, network with philanthropists interested in institution-building for a New India, connect with potential faculty and initiate academic partnerships/ linkages, MOU’s.
The tour is scheduled to conclude by April 30th, 2022. Prominent cities well known for global institutional excellence such as Boston, New York, Washington DC, Houston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, among other prominent locations will be covered. Ivy League Universities such as Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, UChicago, Columbia, Yale, Tufts, NYU, University of Houston, MIT, George Mason University, and UC Berkley and Maryland, are being visited. “We aim to bolster overseas academic linkages and present our vision for a modern India as an integral part of the global knowledge economy,” adds Vice Chancellor, Shobhit Mathur.
According to data from a US Census Bureau, there are more than 4.2 million people of Indian origin residing in the US, who have fared extremely well, in terms of education rates, workforce participation, income generation. To strengthen Indo-US academic collaboration, and boost diaspora linkages with India’s growing education ecosystem, Rishihood University will also be in conversation with Indian-origin high achievers at top Ivy League varsities for a host of academic opportunities back in India. “We’d already initiated interactions earlier with Ivy League students to discuss full-time and visiting faculty opportunities to transform the quality of Indian higher education making it a global benchmark,” says, Co-Founder & CEO, Sahil Aggarwal

Rishihood University, inspired by the age-old institution of Takshila, was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu. With social impact and revival of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) blended with modern day global benchmarks in education, the University’s key focal point is to create an ‘ecosystem’ approach to learning rather than isolated training and research.
