Rosatom Engineering Division handed over equipment to Atomic Energy Central School in India
Moscow – Employees of Rosatom State Corporation Engineering Division (the supplier of the detail design documentation and equipment for Kudankulam NPP, the Republic of India) handed over the equipment to Atomic Energy Central School located in Anuvijay township in Tamil Nadu state near the Kudankulam NPP construction site.
More than 600 children from nearby villages attend the school; Engineering Division has been supporting the educational institution for more than 10 years. The equipment that includes computers, printers, multifunction devices, digital cameras, and laboratory equipment is provided as part of the realization of one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all, which achievement Rosatom State Corporation actively supports.
According to Vadim Khlivnenko, Deputy Director for Projects in India – Head of Division for Construction at Kudankulam NPP Site, ASE, the Engineering Division plans for this year to expand the charitable activities. “We plan to expand the area of realization of charity programs in the territory of India in 2022. For example, in order to provide high-quality education to the population of the Republic within the framework of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, in addition to helping the school, we intend to purchase books and equipment for the library located in Kudankulam township,” he said.
