Rotary Club of Delhi South together with DNS Arya Samaj Skill Centre inaugurates new Skill Training Centre for the Youth at Vasant Vihar

New Delhi — In a bid to empower young people in skill-based jobs, Rotary Club of Delhi South and DNS Arya Samaj Skill Centre today inaugurated a new skill training centre for youth in Vasant Vihar.

The new skill training centre will offer a range of courses, including computer skills, communication skills, and vocational training. These courses have been carefully designed to meet the needs of youth from underprivileged background who are looking to improve their employability and gain valuable skills that will help them secure meaningful employment.

The 900 sq feet facility, located in Vasant Vihar, would be accessible for all young people looking to get trained in certification courses to get employment in IT, Banking, Insurance, Electronics, and Healthcare sectors. The centre is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and space for practical labs to accommodate 30 trainees in a classroom setting per training course run by experienced faculty.

As part of the joint initiative, DNS Arya Samaj and Rotary Club of Delhi South will engage reputed training organisations and corporate houses via public-private partnerships to support the training on specific skills. One of the intensive programs on advanced course in mental health will be led by the esteemed Prof. Nand Kumar from the Department of Psychiatry at AIIMS, run from June 1st to June 30th and is limited to 30 participants.  AIIMS is committed to supporting its graduates and will not only provide them with in-depth knowledge but also ensure their placement and assist them in their future endeavours in the field of mental health.

Skill Training Center at DNS Arya Samaj Skill Centre, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi is a modest attempt to attract youth for skilling themselves in specialized areas like refrigeration, banking, CCTVs, etc. and join in the noble task of nation building. I would encourage corporate houses to leverage the facility in the heart of capital and lend their helping hand. Together we can transform the skill set of our youth, the key competitive advantage for us as a nation.”

The launch event was attended by senior officials from Tata Strive, Reliance, JBM Group, ITC Ltd, JINDAL group, C P Plus, and Gupta Machines along with members of Rotary International, Rotary district 3011, Rotary Club of Delhi South, DNS Arya Samaj Skill Centre, and local dignitaries. The event included a tour of the new facility and a demonstration of some of the courses on offer.
