Rotary Club organizes Nation Builder Award ceremony at Baramulla
Baramulla: To recognize the performance of teachers who worked selflessly and with utmost dedication especially during the current circumstances, Rotary Club today organized Nation Builders Award Ceremony in Baramulla in which several teachers from across the district were felicitated for their remarkable and excellent contribution in the field of education.
Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Aijaz Abdullah Saraaf was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Among others Chief Education Officer Baramulla, GM Lone; District Information Officer Baramulla, Mudassir Hussain; President Municipal Council Baramulla, Touseef Raina attended the function.
On the occasion, the ADDC extended his gratitude to the awardees and complimented the organizers for conducting such a felicitation ceremony. He said that teachers are in reality nation builders whose contribution towards the upliftment of society cannot be overlooked.
He further added that the administration will take several novel measures to compensate for the academic loss incurred due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent closure of educational institutions.
Mudassir Hussain in his address said that nations cannot progress unless their educational system is strengthened. He highlighted the role of a teacher towards the career development of a student and said that a teacher should be a friend, philosopher and guide for a student. Moreover, he applauded the efforts of the NGO, Rotary Club for organising a range of welfare activities.
Representatives of the NGO, Rotary Club expressed gratitude to the district administration for their cooperation and informed that a special unit of the club shall be established in Baramulla district for which he sought support and cooperation from the administrative authorities.
