Round Table India & Ladies Circle India Inaugurated 2 Classrooms at Government Model Primary School, Doddabettahalli, Bangalore
Bengaluru : As a part of Round Table India’s vision of ‘Freedom Through Education’, an initiative to help create quality infrastructure in schools for underprivileged children, Bangalore Cosmo Round Table (BCRT 172) & Bangalore Cosmo Ladies Circle ( BCLC 105) inaugurated 2 classrooms at the Government Model Primary School, Doddabettahalli, Bengaluru. The total expenditure for this project amounted to INR 16,00,000 (Sixteen Lakh). The classrooms were inaugurated by Round Table India President, Tr. Robin Agarwala.
The project encompasses a comprehensive classroom infrastructure, including fans, lights, and a board. All stakeholders will continue their collaborative efforts to deliver diverse holistic and innovative educational programs, positively impacting more than 650 students. These classrooms were established as part of the Freedom Through Education (FTE) initiative, a national project led by Round Table India. This endeavor has resulted in the construction of over 8,700 classrooms, benefiting in excess of 10 million children throughout India. The total investment in this initiative has exceeded 440 crores.
Mr. Sidappar, the headmaster of the school, said, “On behalf of our students and faculty, I wish to wholeheartedly thank Round Table India and Ladies Circle India for providing my children with these infrastructure facilities. The new classrooms will make a significant difference for us, as I believe that improved physical infrastructure will lead to more enjoyable learning experiences for my students. My sincere gratitude to all involved in the project.”
“While Round Table India (RTI) is currently implementing various community service projects across the country, the ongoing national project is ‘Freedom Through Education.’ This project aims to improve the physical infrastructure of schools to support the education of underprivileged children. The organization is focused on constructing classrooms, toilets, and providing additional amenities such as drinking water facilities, libraries, science labs, playgrounds, and more to schools catering to children from less privileged backgrounds. Throughout this time, RTI and LCI have been fortunate to have the support of numerous benefactors who have collaborated with the organizations to realize the noble vision of ‘Education for All,’ as expressed by Cr. Mayurie, Chairperson, BCLC 105.
Round Table India (RTI) is an energetic youth organization focused on nation-building and striving to promote ‘service through fellowship’. Its membership is comprised of young men from various professions spanning over 160 cities and towns across the country, driven to contribute to society at large. It has grown to a strong network of over 350 tables (Chapters) across the length and breadth of the country. RTI’s flagship programme, ‘Freedom Through Education (FTE)’, involves building classrooms, toilets, and providing other infrastructure like drinking water facilities, libraries, science labs, sanitary pad dispensers, etc. in schools across the country that provide education to children from the less privileged sections of the society.
