Routine surgeries started in GMCH, Associate Hospitals: Dr. Sudhan

 

Jammu: The Government Medical College administration has started the routine surgeries of Orthopedics, Surgery, Eye and Neurosurgery departments in the operation theatres of MCH and Associate Hospitals.

Giving details regarding the operation, Principal GMC, Jammu Dr Shashi Sudhan, informed that total 18 surgeries were conducted in Surgery Department, 22 in Orthopaedics, 51 in Eye Department and 5 surgeries have been conducted in GMC from 2nd November to 7 November.

Regarding Covid-19 cases, the Principal informed that GMC has total 53 patients, out of which 15 are in isolation ward, 10 are in CCU, 15 in ward no 3 and 13 in HDU. Out of 53 patients 25 have been put on oxygen support where as 10 patients have been provided with ventilatory/bipap facility. Chest Disease hospital have 08 patients. She further informed that no death has been reported in GMC in last 24 hours.

Principal GMC informed that total 562 cylinders have been consumed in last 24 hours out of which 556 oxygen cylinders have been consumed in GMC and 06 cylinders are consumed in CDH. She also added that GMC has buffer stock of around 1127 cylinders and CDH has buffer stock of 90 oxygen cylinders.
