Samba: On the directions of National Legal Services Authority and in compliance to directions of the J&K Legal Services Authority, a National Lok Adalat was held today under the Chairmanship of Sonia Gupta, Chairman DLSA (Principal District & Sessions Judge), Samba here at District Court Complex, Samba.
Three benches were constituted for the said purpose.
First bench was constituted for taking up MACT& Bank cases, Pre-Litigation matters and all cases referred by District Judge which was headed by Sonia Gupta, Chairman DLSA (Principal District & Sessions Judge), Samba and comprised Madhu Sharma, Addl. Spl. Mobile Magistrate, Samba.
The second bench was comprised Arvind Sharma, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Samba and assisted by Poonam, Munsiff, Samba for taking up of NI Act cases and Criminal Compoundable cases of all nature, Civil cases.
The third bench was constituted of Slahuddin Ahmed, Secretary, DLSA, Samba and Rashi Verma, Addl. Munsiff, Samba for taking up Cases under 488/125 CrPC, D.V.Act and Petty Offence Cases. The representatives of Banks, Insurance Companies, Advocates and Litigants participated in the National Lok Adalat. A total 232 cases were taken up by the Benches out of which 189 cases were disposed of amicably and an amount of Rs. 19,20,400 was settled.
