RT-PCR testing of RTI patients made mandatory in Ramban
Ramban: In view of the surge in COVID-19, District Administration Ramban has made RT-PCR testing mandatory for patients with respiratory tract infection visiting District Hospital, Community Health Centres and Primary Health Centres of the district.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam, who is also the Chairman of DDMA, directed the Chief Medical Officer to scale up RT-PCR testing in the district. Medical Superintendent DH and all BMOs were directed to ensure 100 percent RT-PCR testing of people visiting health institutions in their jurisdictions, besides submitting daily progress reports in prescribed format.
The CMO was also directed to depute screening teams to identify and test people visiting RTI and health institutions with respiratory tract and flu-like symptoms
All CHCs and PHCs were directed to maintain offline data of persons coming to RTI clinics and the same shall be reviewed with the Chief Medical Officer and BMOs on a regular basis.
