Rural Sanitation Deptt Organizes Mahilla Samvad at Palli Samba
SAMBA : To sensitizate women on various issues and government schemes for their welfare, Department of Rural Sanitation today organized a Mahilla Samvad at panchayat Palli Samba.
The Mahiila Samvad organized today, educated women folk on Solid Liquid Waste Management, Hygiene practices and Menstural hygiene management.
Under the supervision of Director Rural Sanitation J&K, Charandeep Singh, the women group were given emphasis on Rural Sanitation for improving the quality of life of the rural people and also to provide privacy to dignity to women.
The participants were given awareness on various schemes of department including construction if IHHL, Community Sanitary Complexes, solidarity liquid waste management, GOBARDHAN Project, FSN, Plastic waste management, SBM and others and how Public in general and women in particular reap its benefits. The resource person informed steps taken up to increase awareness among young adolescent while educating other young women and students for maintaining menstrual hygiene.
Among others Snowber Jamil, Mahila Panches, officials from rural Sanitation dept and locals were present on the occasion.
