RV University celebrates its Inaugural Day for its batch of 2022
Bengaluru : RV University, India’s new-age global university for liberal education, held the inaugural ceremony for all its students from the batch of 2022, across the five schools namely, the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, School of Design and Innovation, School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Economics, School of Business. The ceremony was held at their Campus on Mysore Road. Dr.(h.c.) A.V.S. Murthy, Pro-Chancellor, RV University and Hon. Secretary, Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST) addressed the large gathering of parents, students, reaffirming the commitment of the Trust to the success of the university. Prof. S. Sadagopan, Former Director of IIIT Bangalore was the Chief Guest at the event. (Dr.) Prof. Y.S.R. Murthy, Vice Chancellor, RV University addressed the new batch of students and parents apprising them of the growth and achievements of RV University in a very short span of time.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. S. Sadagopan, Former Director, IIT Bangalore said, “It is important for educational institutions to have the ability to get the best out of the past, relate to the present and have a futuristic outlook. The students of RV University have this magnificent opportunity where they get the advantage of the past legacy, gain from the insights in the present education system which in turn will empower the students in solving real-life global problems.”
Addressing the students, Prof (Dr.) YSR Murthy, Vice – Chancellor, RV University briefed about RV University’s legacy and its vision. He elaborated on how the university within a span of one year has made a mark and is emerging as the new-age, tech-driven university for liberal education. The University focuses on evolving a diverse talent pool of informed, self-driven, empathetic and inclusive problem solvers.
Speaking about the International collaborations, he said, “The objectives of the international collaborations initiated by RV University Include mutual student exchange programs, international research projects, winter and summer schools, knowledge dissemination through audio-visual teaching materials, environmental artwork, publications and a major concluding conference.”
In the span of just over a year, the student strength at the university has grown substantially. The aforementioned institutions were founded to ensure that everyone gets equal access to quality education. The university is centered around providing a multidisciplinary learning environment in a diversity of knowledge streams and skills that catered to the current and emerging needs from a learner’s context and on becoming a top-tier, tech-driven, international university for liberal education that would empower future citizens.
