RWTH Aachen University Hosts a Spectacular Performance by WDR Bigband and NTU Sound Chamber

Experience an extraordinary concert evening brought to you by the RWTH Bigband in collaboration with RWTHextern, featuring performances by the renowned WDR Bigband and The NTU Sound Chamber Experience with Nduduzo Makhathini. The event will take place in the auditorium of the University’s Main Building, Templergraben 55, on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 8 pm.

Makhathini is celebrated as one of the foremost figures in the contemporary jazz scene in South Africa. Hailing from a musical family, he was drawn to church music during his childhood and later pursued formal studies in music in both his home country and America. The pianist and composer achieved international acclaim with his first Blue Note album, “Modes Of Communication: Letters From The Underworlds,” released in 2020.
