RWTH Achieves Top 100 Status in QS World University Rankings
The QS World University Rankings provide an authoritative comparative analysis on the performance of the world’s top 1,500 universities.
RWTH Aachen University has been rated among the best 100 universities worldwide. In the QS World University Rankings 2025, it is ranked 99th, its best position since the rankings were first published in 2004. Compared to the previous year, RWTH has risen 7 places; nationally, it continues to be placed fifth.
The global league table ranks more than 1,500 leading global institutions across nine categories, including academic reputation, citations per faculty, employment outcomes, and employer reputation.
RWTH scored particularly highly in terms of its reputation among employers. With almost 94 out of a possible 100 points, it ranks 41st in the world and second among German universities.
The University is also doing very well in terms of internationalization, with 85.5 points securing third place among German universities. In the sustainability category, RWTH has improved to sixth place nationally.
